New Court locking procedure ( Draft)

It has been a concern of the club and the PC for sometime regarding proper use of the courts in Wingerworth.

It has been decided that for a trial period the courts shall be locked and access to the courts by means of a combination lock.

We currently plan to role out this trial until the end of September when it will be reviewed, as with all things of this nature we accept not all will be happy with this arrangement and will seek to enter the courts via other means, we must remind people that there is a cost to such an amazing new surface and we must endeavour to look after it by enabling us to ensure the use for which they are intended.

Skateboards and bikes are not permitted on the courts.

It has been agreed on top of our current rates which can be found on the website, there will be a non peak hourly play rate.
The current fee is set at £2 per court per Hour. The spar shop will take the court fee and supply the user with the valid pass code to the combination lock. For alternative arrangements contact us through the link on the website or contact Liz on 01246 200713.

The code will be changed fortnightly, all members will receive updates of the codes via E-mail.

Thanks for your co-operation with this matter, if you have any queries or issues please don't hesitate to contact us via the links on the website.

Race Night Fund Raiser

The event was over and gone as quickly as it had arrived, a few lucky punters, their pockets brimming with riches gained, the bar drank dry and the pies all gone......

A great evening well supported by the towns folk and our fellow tennis enthusiasts, great work by all involved, a twitchy momment when we thought we couldn't have a bar, (impeding disaster!).

"When's the next event" I here you cry, keep watching this blog and look out for further details!

The event raised over £800, the club thanks you all for your support.
